Mary Dauterman is a writer-director who’s debut feature, a body horror comedy called Booger, premiered at Fantasia Film Festival July 2023. Booger was executive produced by Ley Line Entertainment (Everything Everywhere All At Once) and Neon Heart (Shiva Baby) and was supported by the Tribeca Creators Market and Film Independent. Her short films have been selected for multiple Vimeo Staff Picks as well as on Hulu, NoBudge, Vulture, and Booooooom. She has written and directed projects for Adult Swim, published two kidsbooks that aren’t for kids, written satire for the Hairpin (RIP), and co-invented a viral beach accessory, The Tortilla Towel (TM). She previously worked as an art director (creative portfolio here) at Droga5, Wieden+Kennedy, and CP+B, and was recognized as an ADC Young Gun for her body of work. She is a Film Independent Fast Track fellow. Mary is originally from Texas, attended the University of Texas in Austin, and now lives in Brooklyn.
